Geoff is by far the best farrier in North Carolina, and his vast experience and love for what he does really comes through.
we show AQHA Hunter Under Saddle horses and for us movement is everything .... since Geoff started as our farrier our horses move better,their shoes fit better and stay on longer.i would recommend Geoff to anyone seeking correct fitting of shoes and better movement from their horses.
I started having Geoff shoe for me a few months back and I really must say that he really genuinely cares about my horse and is committed to making sure he its kept sound and comfortable. Even when we had to work with some soreness issues that made it hard for him to pick his feet up Geoff was exceptionally patient. His skill, knowledge, and service are top notch.
Windsor is a great horse. He was a bit anxious that first time, but now it's as if we're old friends. Thanks for trusting me with his care. It's a pleasure to serve you both.
Even tho my mare was less than cooperative (she was a rearing horror) when Geoff was shoeing her front, he was patient, confident, and non-threatening, and he finally got them on. She ruined about a dozen nails, and he's still going to be our farrier!!! Thank you so much for making this necessary yet unpleasant task one I no longer dread every 6 weeks!
I am so happy I found Geoff and Shod Steed. Geoff is an excellent farrier. He is kind to my horses, punctual and does great work! I highly recommend him!

Geoff Morrison has been my farrier for three years and my horse has never had a soundness issue during this time. Geoff is always willing to answer any questions I have about my horse’s feet and discuss her hoof care as well as come out to the farm between regular appointments if I feel that something has changed with my horse’s feet. I particularly like the fact that he is always striving for perfection and asks advice from senior farriers and vets if he is met with a situation he has not previously treated.
Shod Steed wants to always make sure that the horse is given the highest level of attention.
Geoff is such a fantastic farrier! He goes above and beyond to take care of his customers. He runs an honest business and is extremely knowledgeable about his skill. What I like most about Geoff is that he is so caring towards my horses and their needs!!

Kadan is a perfect gentleman for me every time. His good behavior allows me to do my best work. 🙂 I still miss Izzy when I go to Sugar Hill Farm. 🙁
